Dirty Lit'l Devil

Off to the dirty devil, escaping yet another forecast of rain in SLC. Who can say no to the beautiful desert, sun, and warm weather. A pic of the gang descending down into the canyon towards robber's roost canyon.

Alexi joined by his bud Aster and her little brother Bodie with their folks Karen and Mark.

Poser shot of the gang

The desert was sporting it's spring best, with some amazing flowers scattered among the rocks

Alexi and Aster found some time to enjoy a dirt slide after taking a dip in the dirty devil

What not pictured well in these photos...the constant brutal wind. Yep, it was even lifting the sandstone up in places...we were happy to see our friend's tent still standing when we came back up to the top of the rim, the bad news was that the tent poles had broken and the tent had ripped due to the strong gusts....hey, but at least it wasn't raining!

Unfortunately, due to domicile destruction Aster and Co. weren't able to join for the final day. So, this canyon is dedicated to you all.

Sidenote: The guidebook we were consulting was fairly amusing in that the author's notes would tell of extraordinary feats of canyoneering not to be attempted by typical mortals. Thus, Alexi has decided to make his own version of how to make the most of your canyon, 3-year old style...

Author's Notes: Be sure to secure good canyon transport. Shoulders and hips will do in a pinch. Yogurt pretzels are a must, as is chocolate. Make sure your canyon transport vehicles know to keep the pretzels and chocolate out of the murky pools of yuck-yuck.

Canyon transport vehicles should also be able to move large chalkstones, when necessary. This gives you time to enjoy your yogurt and chocolate, without having to share.
Canyon transport should also be adept at catching lizards, frogs and small fish and tadpoles so you can play with them. Sometimes your transport vehicle may need a little direction on how to catch the goods for you.

Last, but not least, always save time for a good snooze...

What puzzles me?.....

....is where did all the puzzle pieces go?

Alexi is trying the impossible. Can he finish the puzzle with half the
pieces in the puggies stomachs? Actually the missing items are
probably no longer in their stomachs. He is going to have to get quite
"creative" to get the original pieces back in place.

sledding at mt dell

Alexi had a play dated with Rolf and Andie's Talia. We went up the canyon for a little "Big Jump" time.

They did this a good 20 more "Just one more times".

Momma Andie came buy to watch them get one of their bigger airs of the day. They were a little slacking at "keeping their hands and feet in the ride at all times."
