Mingyu gets THE MASK

The EJ applies the mask to Mingyu. The slimy algenate concoction takes a good hr to apply then dry. After many claustrophobic moments, the dry mask is finally pealed from the face. Plaster of Paris is applied later to reveal a facsimile of the face.

As Alexi was on top of my shoulders looking at this process. He was speechlessly enthralled. Then someone mentioned that I had yet to get a masking and that it might be my turn next. Alexi immediately screamed "NO" and I had to take him off to the corner to calm him. Later, as Mingyu was help to emerged from his pupal cast, Alexi was relieved to see him come out alive!

Captain zap and his alexi

Went to a party for a graduating student, the newly minted, Dr. Mingyu. Alexi and Gunther's kid Zapolian, decided to take to the drums for a little "sesh." A surprisingly interesting avant-garde jazz was the result.

Day of Fun

After a week of rainy weather, Alexi enjoyed some time with recent SLC transplants Tegan and Marley. Previously a 7 hour drive away, we are happy to have them now only 7 minutes away!

Big Boy and his Bike

Well, it's the end of the summer, and big boy is slowly weaning off the trainers. We kept on bending the trainer wheels up more and more so Alexi could get his balance down.

Then the big day arrived....time for the real deal. Big boy got all geared up, complete with the anti boo boo band-aid to ward off huge crashes.

A few wipe-outs, but he caught on fairly quickly..and off he went

practicing his banked turns

and of course, his first set of baby stairs...watch out!!
